Our Teaching Methods

We emphasize hands-on learning through the use of developmentally and seasonally appropriate activities and materials. Children have different learning styles: there are Visual Learners, Auditory Learners and Kinesthetic Learners. We tailor our teaching technique to meet the needs of your child.

We encourage your child to develop in all areas: physical, social, emotional, cognitive and creative. We do this by providing many opportunities for direct exploration, discovery and experimentation. For example, when learning about the world around us, your child may venture outside to take a nature walk, plant and/or pick flowers, or study cloud shapes.

Our developmentally appropriate approach to creative thinking and learning promotes your child’s self-respect and self-esteem. We offer frequent verbal and physical encouragement and praise. There is no "right or wrong" approach to our activities, so your child progresses at his or her own rate and feels a sense of accomplishment and pride with each completed activity. He or she will enjoy a fun-filled day without even knowing she or he is learning.

She or he will benefit from one-on-one interaction with our teachers as well as group experiences with the other children. Your child will participate in activities that cover a broad spectrum of areas such as math and reading readiness, science, cooking, pre-writing, memory and logic, music, computer skills, fine and gross motor exercises, creative dance, structured fitness workouts and karate lessons.
